text-embedding-3-large

Use the text-embedding-3-large embedding or reranking model with Pinecone: specs and index setup. Most powerful OpenAI embedding model, with a larger.

### Using the model

#### Installation:

```python theme={null}
!pip install -qU openai==1.2.2 pinecone
```

### Create Index

```python theme={null}
from pinecone import Pinecone, ServerlessSpec

pc = Pinecone(api_key="API_KEY")

# Create Index
index_name = "text-embedding-3-large"

if not pc.has_index(index_name):
    pc.create_index(
        name=index_name,
        dimension=3074,
        metric="cosine",
        spec=ServerlessSpec(
            cloud='aws',
            region='us-east-1'
        )
    )

index = pc.Index(index_name)
```

### Embed & Upsert
