Import source documents from a project connector

Pull source documents from a linked project connector (Box, ...) into the context. Supply either folder or files. Stages the source only — curate explicitly before querying.

POST /contexts/{slug}/import

Parameters

Section titled “Parameters”
  • slug (path, string, required) — Context slug or UUID.
  • X-Pinecone-Api-Version (header, string) — Date-based contract version, echoed back on the same header. Omit for the default (2026-07); send unstable for the in-development surface. An unrecognized value is rejected with 400 unsupported_api_version.

Request body

Section titled “Request body”
  • connector_id (body, string, required) — The linked connector to import from.
  • folder (body, string) — Connector folder id to import
  • files (body, string[]) — Connector file ids to import
  • item_type (body, string) — Whether folder or files selects the sources.
  • path (body, string) — Subdirectory under the source tree (default uploads)

Responses

Section titled “Responses”
  • 200 — Import accepted (state: importing)
  • 400 — Invalid request
  • 404 — Context or connector not found
  • 409 — Context is optimizing, or an import is already in flight
